Our site, calls and emails are covered

This page applies to the website itself and everything you send us through it, along with what you tell us by phone or in an email.

We collect what you send us

When you fill in the service request form, we receive what you type into it:

• the job’s address or its ZIP code, if the form has a field for it;
• your description of the job;
• your name, phone number and email address.

If you call or write, we note what you tell us and hold on to anything you send, photographs included. On top of that, our hosting provider’s servers record a few technical details each time a page loads: the IP address, the browser, the page and the time. These records help keep the site secure and working.

We keep a copy of each chat

We record every chat on the website. A record contains the messages you write, including a name, an email or a phone number if you give one, and the job you describe; the page you were viewing and the website you arrived from; an approximate location based on your internet address; the device and browser in use; and a random code your browser keeps for the chat so one visitor’s chats stay together. The chat may be answered by an automated assistant, for which the chat’s providers process your messages. The record is there so we can answer you, get your work booked and make the chat better.

Our host may set one security cookie

How this site handles cookies and statistics:

• no cookies for advertising or for analytics;
• possibly one strictly necessary security cookie set by the hosting provider;
• cookie-free visit counts kept by the host, as anonymous totals of page views.

Some details go to those who help us

Who else may see your information:

• the companies that host the website, handle our email and deliver messages from the service request form;
• service partners helping us answer you or do the work;
• public authorities or other parties, when a law requires it or where that is necessary to protect rights or safety.

We use information for the work you ask for

We use your information to:

• keep our business records;
• meet our legal obligations;
• arrange and carry out the work;
• protect the website;
• answer your request;
• follow up about the job afterwards.

We take reasonable care of it

We guard information with reasonable measures. Even so, no website, inbox or computer is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute safety.

We don’t keep it forever

How long we keep something depends on why we have it. Details tied to a request or a job stay while that request or job needs them, and as long as our records and the law require. Then they are deleted.

You can ask what we hold about you

Three requests are open to you whenever you like:

• to learn what we keep about you;
• to get mistakes in it corrected;
• to have it deleted.

You can make them by writing to contact@somertonpestcontrol.com or calling (267) 517-8138. We may confirm who you are first, and nobody is treated differently for making a request.

One privacy right gets its own page: the opt-out. Some states let people opt out of the selling or sharing of their personal information, in the sense each state’s law gives those words, and the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page shows how to use it.

We don’t direct this site to children

We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site isn’t intended for them.

We post any changes here

Changes to this page will be posted here with a new date above, so the latest version is always the one you see.
